Scuba Diving International (SDI) announced today the launch of yet another in its online training courses: Wreck Diving. This specialty is now available to students who wish to take advantage of SDI’s proven eLearning system to complete the academic portion of their continuing education training.

“Naturally, this latest addition to our eLearning curriculum follows the format and functionality of our other popular, award-winning training programs and carries all the associated benefits and security offered by all of our eLearning products,” said Steve Lewis, director of product development for SDI. Other online programs from SDI include the following: nitrox, deep, underwater navigation, and open water diver. All of which are delivered via SDI’s proven online training system.

SDI, the worldwide leader in diving education through eLearning and distance learning applications, is known for its innovative approach to scuba diving educational products. The SDI online open water scuba program continues to be a tremendous success and undoubtedly remains unrivalled in online educational products and services available today. Due the positive reaction worldwide to the SDI online open water scuba program, there was an immediate demand for additional online courses to be made available. The release of online wreck training follows related releases on a regular basis throughout 2007.

“High profile retailers have found the SDI online programs to be highly effective in meeting their customers’ needs. Therefore, the new additions to the SDI online program provide yet another opportunity for dealers to take advantage of the flexible online programs while providing their students with a program they enjoy completing,” stated David Burroughs, vice president of sales and marketing for SDI.

“SDI made promises that we would launch new and exciting programs and products throughout the summer and fall of 2007 for consumers to enjoy. We have kept that promise and will continue to bring exciting new opportunities to our customers as we approach 2008. By embracing the concept that different people respond to slightly different learning stimuli, SDI has begun to provide an additional avenue for those interested in the underwater world to enjoy their diving adventure: online learning,” stated Brian Carney, president.
